Samsung has quietly listed the Galaxy Tab A Kids Edition (2019) on its US website. Every bit the name suggests, this is a tablet aimed at kids, but the device itself is not exactly new. It's basically a Milky way Tab A 8.0 (2019) with a bumper case. The rest of the things, including the SM-T290 model number, remain unchanged from the regular tab.

Being a tablet for kids, information technology offers granular controls for parents to monitor screen fourth dimension and access to content. The tab comes with a free trial of the Samsung Kids app that boasts 10,000+ hours of child-friendly content. The app tin can exist downloaded from Google Play Shop on other Galaxy tablets as well, then the but real distinction between the Kids Edition and the regular model is the addition of the bumper case to the onetime for extra protection from bumps and drops.
